Last season, Davis was 1 of the best defensive competitors for Carolina. The Panthers will turn to Jon Beason to take over Davis’ spot. If cornerback Richard Marshall doesn’t sign his contract tender, the Carolina Panthers may have another defensive issue.

The emphasis in NFL preseason probabilities with the Carolina Panthers will be on Moore, Clausen and another rookie quarterback, Tony Pike, who the Carolina Panthers took in the 6th round of the draft. So that they can be self-assured in Moore and the offense heading into the 2010 NFL normal season, Carolina needs to have success in the preseason.

The Panthers joined up with the NFL as a part of the South Division of the National Football League in 1995. They have compiled a track record of 115-121 in their 15 years. They appeared in Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, Texas. They were beaten by the New England Patriots, the American Football Conference team champ.

John Fox, who was chose in 2002, currently coaches the Carolina Panthers. He was at one time the New York Giants’ defensive coordinator, and was recognized for defensive discipline, which would definitely be required to turn around a team that had arrived at the bottom of the defensive rankings the previous year. The last several years have been spent by Fox attempting to revamp the team into a real contender by way of the NFL draft.
